About Lisa
I am forever in awe of the human capacity to heal. Each of us has a unique journey, and I am deeply honored to listen for the resources that will best support your system to settle, relax and find healing.
From my social work training (many years ago!) I learned to meet each person where they are. That holistic, respectful approach continues to be the foundation of my work. As a circle keeper for Hidden Water, a restorative justice approach to childhood sexual abuse, I have learned the importance of healing in community and honoring each person’s process as it unfolds. Each of us is our own best expert at charting our healing path.
My Shamanism training was with Elizabeth Clements. I have also been greatly influenced by Jennifer Grant. Each Shaman session is different, and I will support you in listening for your own connection to the spirit world and for the immense support that is available from the elements – Earth, Air, Fire and Water. As the session unfolds, we may weave in somatic experiencing and “parts work”.
I am currently studying Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) with Robyn Michele Jones in Belfast, Maine. BCST is a deep listening to the rhythms and health in your body, to enable your system to settle, balance, reset and heal. Each of us is born with a blueprint of inherent health, and craniosacral therapy supports the restoration of health and potency. What draws me to this work is that it weaves together our interaction with the physical body, the energetic body, and the universal energy field. I am offering free BCST sessions as a part of the two year training.
In my free time, I’m often gardening, spending time with family, hanging out with our two cats and swimming with friends in the beautiful ocean waters of Maine.
